General

Your questions - Our answers

There are 4 basic types of slide. The original and classic box slide, the open half-shell slide, the combined tunnel half-shell slide and the closed tunnel slide. As the trough slides as well as the tube trough slides and the tube slides have a rounded bottom, they are ideal for curved slide courses. The box slides, on the other hand, are best suited for straight slides with waves in the slide floor or as free-fall slides and extra-wide family slides due to their straight slide floor. The slides can be divided into four application areas according to their intended use. Evacuation slides are the ideal solution for quickly escaping from danger zones, play and adventure slides guarantee fun in any playground or amusement park, water slides are the most refreshing way to cool off on hot summer days and industrial slides are an economical solution for special transport and logistics applications.

Yes, as slides are predominantly categorised as play equipment, the most important standard according to which our slides are manufactured is DIN EN 1176. In special cases, for example when slides are used with aids such as slide mats, the requirements of DIN EN 13814 must also be observed. For water slides, on the other hand, the standard DIN EN 1069 is authoritative. In addition to other guidelines and standards, however, these are the main standards according to which our slides are planned and built in terms of safety. However, the most important factor in the construction of a safe slide is years of experience. Thanks to our specialisation in the construction of slides and our constantly growing wealth of experience in the implementation of thousands of slide projects since 1992, you can rely on atlantics for slide systems with the highest level of safety and quality.

Stainless steel has a number of advantages. Due to the durability of stainless steel and the low maintenance requirements, your investment retains its value and is sustainable. In addition, stainless steel is a material that can be almost 100% recycled and therefore protects the environment and conserves resources. This is also becoming increasingly important with regard to life cycle assessments. Stainless steel is also highly resistant to corrosion, which is a decisive advantage for outdoor slide systems. Furthermore, due to its good sterilisability, stainless steel is an absolutely hygienic material that is often used in the food and medical sectors due to these material properties. So if you want to create an attraction that is durable, low-maintenance, environmentally friendly and hygienic, a stainless steel design is the best choice.

There are various types of stainless steel, which differ in terms of corrosion resistance, among other things. For example, V2A (AISI 304) stainless steel is used for indoor and outdoor slide systems with normal corrosion exposure. For extreme corrosion resistance requirements, such as high chlorine exposure in outdoor and swimming pools and aggressive salt air near the sea, higher alloyed stainless steels of grade V4A (AISI 316) are used.

Yes, in terms of recyclability and durability, stainless steel is a very sustainable and therefore green material. Although a lot of energy is required for its production and processing, stainless steel can therefore be described as environmentally friendly. After all, stainless steel products are items that you can use for a lifetime at best. This is a not inconsiderable advantage in times of resource scarcity and the desire to make environmentally conscious investment decisions.

As a rule, your stainless steel slide will last a lifetime and beyond with proper care. It is also particularly easy to care for and therefore low-maintenance, vandal-proof and UV-resistant.

Instead of industrialised, modular production, atlantics offers you unique solutions for which we only use high-quality materials such as stainless steel. Every product development is orientated towards longevity and sustainability. In combination with the design language, the quality of workmanship and the constantly growing wealth of experience since 1992, you can expect unique slide attractions in the best manufacturing quality from atlantics.

YES AND NO! Due to the use of the high-quality material stainless steel, all our slides are a worthwhile and long-lasting investment with guaranteed fun compared to a GRP slide. Advantages such as UV resistance, high durability, high resistance to vandalism and almost 100% recyclability are sustainable reasons that put a slightly higher price into perspective and make it worthwhile.

In order to provide you with a quote for your personalised slide attraction, we generally need the following information from you: Firstly, the desired slide type (box slide, half-shell slide or tunnel slide), then the desired exit height (height difference between the entrance and exit area of the slide) and the desired installation situation (on the building, on a play tower, on a slope or indoors). Finally, you are welcome to tell us the desired course of the slide (straight, with curve(s), or as a spiral or helix) if you already know this. We are also always happy to receive a few pictures and dimensioned drawings of the planned installation site for better clarification. You are also welcome to contact our team by telephone so that we can work out the required details together. We look forward to your call.

In principle, we try to prepare an initial offer on the basis of telephone, e-mail or video conference.
However, if an on-site appointment is desired or necessary for the offer or concept, we will be happy to send you a corresponding offer.

Dry Slides

Your questions - Our answers

There are 4 basic types of dry slides.

Dry slides can be installed almost anywhere. They can be installed both outdoors and indoors. Play slides are most commonly found outdoors. For example, in public playgrounds as a classic playground slide on a piece of play equipment or as a slope slide built into the terrain. The larger outdoor slides are usually found at slide terminals or slide towers in leisure parks. In order to provide a lot of variety, special slide attractions such as mat slides, multi-lane slides, free-fall slides, wave slides, spiral slides and kamikaze slides are installed here. In particularly mountainous regions, such as skiing and hiking areas, the curvy slope slides with lengths of up to 200 metres are particularly popular. These adventure slides also attract guests to hiking and skiing areas outside the normal season.

Indoor slides are usually referred to as indoor slides and are often installed in leisure parks, department stores and shopping malls as well as in office and reception areas of various companies.

To get a visual idea of the individual installation locations and variants, we recommend a brief visit to our “Dry slides” product area.

The longest slide had a total length of 186 metres, the highest slide had a starting height of 64 metres and the widest dry slide had a width of 6 metres.

As all our slides are individually planned and manufactured, they can of course be customised to the specific framework data of your local conditions. atlantics offers you unique solutions in the best manufacturing quality instead of industrial production based on a modular principle. This means that almost every slide attraction is unique.

For a slide to be fun and function properly, an appropriate incline or gradient must be ensured for the slide. In outdoor areas, for example, this is achieved by attaching the slide to a tower or platform or by installing it on a slope. If, for example, the height of your project is too low or the gradient too gentle for the desired slide to function properly, there are various ways to remedy this. We will be happy to advise you on this in order to jointly determine the best solution for the realisation of your project.

Yes, this is particularly the case with large slides. These are used with special slide mats and are usually found in amusement parks or other commercially operated areas.

Since atlantics has already realised many exciting dry slides worldwide, there is a good chance that one of our attractions is located in your area. You are welcome to check this under the following link: https://atlantics.de/references/

Yes, you are welcome to have the outside of the stainless steel slide supplied in any desired colour. An additional design with motifs is also possible. However, the slide surface should only be painted in exceptional cases for reasons of wear and tear.

Due to the excellent material properties and durability of stainless steel, the maintenance requirements for stainless steel slides are very low compared to other materials. Stainless steel is also highly resistant to corrosion, which is a decisive advantage for outdoor slide systems. So if you want to create an attraction that is durable, low-maintenance, environmentally friendly and hygienic, a stainless steel design is the best choice.

We can also offer you individually planned tower and terminal constructions in accordance with the safety requirements of the various standards for the creation of large slide attractions. We are also always happy to receive a few pictures and dimensioned drawings of the planned installation site for better clarification. You are also welcome to contact our team by telephone so that we can jointly determine the required information. We look forward to receiving your enquiry.

Evacuation / Escape / Emergency Slides

Your questions - Our answers

Evacuation slides are useful in all buildings where a second escape route needs to be created in the event of a rapid evacuation. Emergency slides are particularly suitable for nurseries and day care centres, schools, hospitals, care homes and all care facilities for people with physical disabilities.

Evacuation slides offer a number of advantages over original staircases. You can find a list of the individual advantages of our escape slides under the following link: https://atlantics.de/products/dry-slides/escape-slides/

Since atlantics has already realised well over 1,000 evacuation slides, there is a good chance that one of our emergency slides is located in your vicinity. You are welcome to check this under the following link: https://atlantics.de/references/

Yes, our slides are designed so that they can be used as normal slides in everyday play. In addition to the guaranteed fun factor, children unconsciously train for emergencies in a playful way. This also helps to prevent panic in an emergency.

Yes, this is also becoming increasingly important in terms of inclusion and participation. As all slides are individually designed and manufactured in our factory, we can plan and realise your slide system without barriers.

There are many options and variants available for attaching an escape slide to your building. The following link will give you an idea of the various installation options: https://atlantics.de/products/dry-slides/escape-slides/

In order to provide you with a quote for your personalised evacuation slide, we need a few brief details from you. The most important details are the exit height (height difference between the entrance and exit area of the slide) and the desired installation option (at the window, on the railing or via a wall opening). We also need a brief indication of the desired route of the emergency slide (desired start and end point). We are also always happy to receive a few pictures and, if available, dimensioned drawings of the installation site. You are also welcome to contact our team by telephone to discuss everything. We look forward to your enquiry!

Water Slides

Your questions - Our answers

There are 3 basic types of water slide. The original and classic box water slide, the open half-shell water slide and the closed tunnel water slide. As the trough water slides and the tube water slides have a rounded bottom, they are ideal for curved slide courses through to looping water slides. Box water slides, on the other hand, are best suited for straight slides with waves in the slide floor or as free-fall water slides or speed water slides as well as extra-wide wide water slides due to their straight slide floor. Water slides are also categorised into different types from 1 – 10 according to the EN 1069 standard. The main distinguishing features here are the size, the user group and the degree of difficulty. The spectrum ranges from smaller children’s water slides and single slides with different speeds to large water slides, wide water slides and multi-lane water slides as well as slide combinations.

Currently, wide water slides are one of the most popular types of water slide, as users can slide together and in every conceivable sliding position.

The standard for waterslides is DIN EN 1090.

Yes, as water slides require a constant film of water on the slide surface to ensure their gliding ability and for cooling. The size of the water connection and the water requirement depend on the type and size of the water slide.

Yes, while dry slides are mainly made of stainless steel V2A (AISI 304), the higher alloyed stainless steel V4A (AISI 316) is used for water slides, as it is more resistant to salt and chlorinated water.

Yes, by opting for a waterslide with an integrated landing pool. These water slides are becoming increasingly popular as they do not block existing water areas and therefore do not restrict their use.

Water slides with a landing pool can be operated independently of a swimming pool. In this case, the landing pool takes over the task of the run-out or immersion area required for water slides. This means that there is no need to close off these areas in existing swimming pools, which in turn maintains the utility value of the pools. This also means that the use of an integrated landing pool means that an additional water basin or pool does not have to be built in order to operate the water slide.

YES AND NO! Due to the use of the high-quality material stainless steel, all our slides are a worthwhile and long-lasting investment with guaranteed fun compared to a GRP slide. Advantages such as UV resistance, low maintenance, high durability and vandalism resistance as well as almost 100% recyclability are sustainable reasons that relativise a slightly higher purchase price and make a stainless steel water slide worthwhile in the long term. We would be happy to provide you with a corresponding offer.

In addition, a higher alloyed stainless steel of class V4A is used for waterslides, which has better corrosion resistance to salt and chlorinated water. So if you want to create an attraction that is durable, low-maintenance, environmentally friendly and hygienic, a stainless steel design is the best choice.

In order to provide you with a quote for your personalised water slide, we generally need the following information from you: Firstly, the type of slide you want (box water slide, half-shell water slide or tunnel water slide), then the desired slide length and slide width as well as the desired installation situation (on a stair landing or on a slope). We also need to know whether the slide should end in an existing pool or swimming pool or whether it should be offered with a separate landing pool.
