atlantics built this painted stainless steel evacuation slide for the Löwenzahn day care centre in Andernach, Rhineland-Palatinate, as an additional second escape route to the existing staircase, so that younger children in particular could be evacuated quickly in the event of a fire. Evacuation via a staircase harbours a high risk of injury from falls, especially in the event of panic. This can be largely ruled out with the evacuation slide. In addition, the tube slide can also be used as normal play equipment, which gives the slide a further benefit. Children can also practise for emergencies through play, which minimises the risk of panic in an emergency.
