The play and evacuation slide in the paediatric and adolescent psychiatric ward in Lüdenscheid / North Rhine-Westphalia was installed in combination with an escape staircase. In the event of an evacuation, the children and young people can therefore also be evacuated via the emergency slide, which is quicker and involves less risk of accidents than the stairs. In addition, the escape tunnel slide can be used daily when playing in the garden, which minimises the risk of panic in an emergency.
