Leisure Park IRRLAND – Airport Fire Department

Kevelaer
Nordrhein-Westfalen
Germany

At the IRRLAND leisure park in Kevelaer / Twisteden in North Rhine-Westphalia, visitors are offered the opportunity for an adventurous cool-down during the summer months, in addition to the many other attractions. Since 2017, visitors have been able to have fun and refresh themselves on a huge half-shell water slide at the park’s own airport fire station. With a length of over 90 meters, the stainless steel water slide is something very special and the largest in the region. The trough slide offers visitors an incomparable descent into the cool water. A must and highlight in the leisure park. The slide winds its way from the top of the hose tower at the fire station building down to the tarmac and provides users with a unique sliding experience. In contrast to a GRP slide, the stainless steel trough of this slide is resistant to UV radiation and vandalism. Stainless steel waterslides also eliminate the high maintenance costs associated with GRP, as there are no maintenance joints.
