Gerstungen wins star prize at the Whitsun marathon – a wide water slide made by the attraction manufactory. The team of the open-air swimming pool of Gerstungen got to the top. With a lot of commitment and a little bit of luck they won the star prize of the Whitsun marathon presented by the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR): a wide water slide made by the attraction manufactory. In the final show, the team from Thuringia could show their two opponents from Saxonia and Saxonia-Anhalt the ropes and gain a stainless steel water slide they could formerly only dream of. Thanks to the adjoining plunge pool the wide water slide can be used separately which means that use of the relatively small pool of Gerstungen does not get limited. The two metre wide slide attraction has become the highlight of the swimming pool attracting visitors both from Gerstungen and its surroundings.
