Daycare Center “Wirbelwind” Niederdorf

The evacuation slide in the “Wirbelwind” daycare center in Niederdorf / Saxony is used to evacuate the upper floor safely and quickly. Under the supervision of the nursery school teachers, the children can quickly get to the entrance of the escape slide via the balcony and can be evacuated safely. This was impressively demonstrated in a drill with the local fire brigade. Compared to the existing staircase, the children could be evacuated many times faster. As the slide can also be used by the children as normal play equipment, they unconsciously practise for emergencies, which minimises the risk of panic in an emergency.
