Dry slides
Dry slides
are a huge
pleasure
A childhood without slides is simply unimaginable. The excitement when getting on the slide, the anticipation when pushing off, and the butterflies in your stomach when sliding down – that’s pure bliss!
Besides all the fun, slides also make an important contribution to the development of children, as they train body awareness and promote motor skills.
However, slides have long been used not only by children. Whether in amusement parks, shopping centers, offices, or for evacuation, slides are now used by young and old alike, making them an attraction for everyone. So it’s no wonder that children and more and more adults love slides.
However, slides are not only built for fun. They are increasingly used in industry and logistics, for example as package slides in postal freight centers, baggage slides at airports or cruise ships, and as conveyor slides in foundries and construction companies.
Your questions
Our answers
Where are dry slides installed?
Dry slides can be installed almost anywhere – both outdoors (outdoor slides) and indoors (indoor slides). Most common are playground slides in outdoor areas, for example on public playgrounds as a classic playground slide on play equipment or as a hillside slide integrated into the terrain.
The larger outdoor slides are mostly found on slide towers or slide terminals in amusement parks. To ensure a particularly wide variety, special slide attractions such as mat slides, multi-lane slides, free-fall slides, wave slides, or spiral slides are installed here.
In particularly mountainous regions, such as in ski and hiking areas, curved hillside slides with lengths of up to 200 meters are particularly popular. Such adventure slides attract visitors to the region even outside the main season.
Indoor slides are often installed in amusement parks, department stores and shopping centers, as well as in office and reception areas of various companies.
What was the longest, highest, and widest dry slide that atlantics has built?
Our stainless steel records to date: The longest slide had a total length of 190 meters, the highest slide a drop height of 64 meters, and the widest dry slide a width of 6 meters.
Can the slide be individually adapted to my project?
Since all our slides are individually planned and manufactured, they can of course be adapted to the specific framework data of your local conditions. Instead of industrial manufacturing using a modular principle, you can expect unique solutions in the best manufacturing quality from atlantics. Thus, almost every slide attraction is unique.
What options are there if I have too little height for the slide?
For a slide to be fun and function properly, sufficient inclination or a corresponding gradient must be ensured. Outdoors, this can be achieved, for example, by attaching it to a tower or a platform or by integrating the slide into a slope. If the height is too low or the gradient is too shallow for your project to operate the desired slide optimally, there are various ways to compensate for this. We are happy to advise you in order to find the best solution for your project together.
Can dry slides also be used with aids?
Yes, this is especially the case with large slides. These are used with special sliding mats and are mostly found in leisure parks or other commercially operated areas.
Is it possible to order stainless steel slides in different colours?
Yes, the exterior surfaces of the stainless steel slide can be supplied in any desired colour. Additional designs with motifs are also possible. However, the sliding surface itself should only be painted in exceptional cases due to wear and tear.
How complex is the maintenance of a stainless steel slide?
Thanks to the excellent material properties and the longevity of stainless steel, the maintenance effort for stainless steel slides is extremely low compared to other materials. In addition, stainless steel offers high corrosion resistance, which is a decisive advantage, especially for slide systems in outdoor areas. So if you want to create an attraction that is durable, low-maintenance, environmentally friendly and hygienic, a stainless steel slide is the best choice.
What do I need to get a quote?
In order to be able to create an offer for your very personal slide attraction, we usually need the following information from you: the desired slide type (box slide, half-shell slide or tunnel slide), the desired drop height (difference in height between the entry and exit area of the slide) and the desired installation situation (on the building, on a play tower, on a slope or indoors).
Finally, you are welcome to tell us the desired course of the slide (straight, with curve(s), or as a spiral or helix) if you already know this. Here, we can also offer you individually planned tower and terminal constructions in accordance with the safety requirements of the various standards to create large slide attractions.
We also welcome some pictures and dimensioned drawings of the planned installation site for better illustration. You are welcome to contact our team by phone to determine the required information together. We look forward to your inquiry.
